EE175: Energy Generation and Control
Introduces electrical energy generation, sensing, and control, emphasizing the emerging smart grid. Topics include 3-phase AC power systems, voltage and transient stability, fault analysis, grid protection, power-flow analysis, economic dispatch, and high voltage DC distribution (HVDC). Prerequisite(s): course 101. Concurrent enrollment in course 175L required.5 credits
