ECE269: Electric Machinery and Control

Advanced modeling and analysis of synchronous generators, permanent-magnet ac machines, and dual-fed induction machines. Machine control techniques including droop control, field weakening, multiple reference frame control, and indirect vector control. Taught in conjunction with ECE 169. Students cannot receive credit for this course and ECE 169. Enrollment is restricted to graduate students who have taken ECE 176 or an equivalent undergraduate course on classical electric machinery.
