ECE187: Entrepreneurship II
Guides students through the process of securing financing for their new high-growth technology company. Discusses the various types and sources of financing, the financing and due diligence processes, the expectations of institutional investors and the underlying drivers for those expectations. Students also analyze the implications of the various terms and conditions of a financing term sheet to understand the typical negotiation options available when negotiating terms with investors. Course also reviews the required set of legal documents required to close a financing round. ECE 186, Entrepreneurship I, is highly recommended but not required. Students must be fluent in the use of spreadsheets, including doing optimization on them.
