CSE239: Advanced Cloud Computing

Cloud computing involves designing efficient software systems, as well as the application of computing to support the utilization of large-scale physical infrastructures, whereby resources are rented by users as an utility. Course is an in-depth exploration of distributed and operating systems principles essential for deploying a data center operating system. Topics include client server programming, distributed scheduling, virtualization, frameworks, distributed storage, security, distributed middleware, and applications such as the IoT, web services, big data, and P2P systems. Prerequisite(s): CSE 232. CSE 231 is recommended but not required. Enrollment is restricted to seniors and graduate students.
