CMPM205: Bridging the Disciplines: Writing and Synthesis for Computational Media
Focuses on developing students’ abilities to do research across multiple disciplines. Discusses multidisciplinary epistemologies and methodologies toward developing research voice and ability across the disciplines. Students engage with diverse sources and media, analyzing how information from computer science, media studies, design, and social sciences can converge in computational contexts. Students are encouraged to integrate and synthesize knowledge from multiple fields and develop a structured argument, building their view within computational media. May be repeated for credit. P/NP or Sat/Unsat Only. Enrollment is restricted to Ph.D. students in Computational Media.
