BME51A: Applied Electronics for Bioengineers part 1

Introduction to measuring, modeling, and designing electronics circuits, emphasizing voltage dividers and complex impedance. Lab-based course, culminating in simple negative-feedback op amp circuit for amplifying audio signals. Students are billed a materials fee. Prerequisite(s): Mathematics 19A; or Mathematics 11A with B or better or by consent of instructor. High school physics recommended. Enrollment restricted to bioengineering majors and proposed majors; other majors by consent of instructor.
