BME230A: Introduction to Computational Genomics and Systems Biology

Introductory and intermediate level topics in computational genomics, DNA and RNA sequence analysis, mapping, quantification, detection of variants and their associations with disease. Topics in machine-learning, probabilistic graphical models, gene regulatory network inference, and single cell analysis are covered. Students conduct independent related research as part of the course. Prerequisite(s): BME 205. Prerequisites can be waived in cases where students have required programming skills.
