BME177L: Engineering Stem Cell Laboratory

BME177L introduces students to laboratory techniques for growing and differentiating embryonic stem cells, genetic manipulation of stem cells and imaging of stem cells. Students will learn how to culture stem cells, count cells, transfect cells, image cells and analyze morphology of stem cells. In addition, students will learn how to write lab reports and present their findings. Prerequisites: BME 21L and BME 22L and BME 23L; and previous or concurrent enrollment in BME 177. Enrollment is restricted to Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics or by permission.
